HOLANDA RECIBE EL PRIMER NFH-90/NETHERLANDS RECEIVE FIRST NFH-90



Holanda ha recibido el primer helicóptero NFH90 para uso marítmo, aunque la aeronave aún no está en estado operativo.
El desarrollo del NFH 90, ha estado plagado de problemas, sobre todo por el radar de búsqueda marítima y el sistema de navegación, de ahí que la capacidad operativa todavía es limitada. Se utilizará para entrenamiento de tripulaciones y vigilancia costera básica.
El siguiente país en recibir el NFH90 será Francia, en 2010.

The first NFH90 maritime helicopter is now in the hands of the Netherlands military, but the system is still not ready for operational use.
Development of the NFH90 has been plagued by problems causing extensive delays
The handover, took place at AgustaWestland’s facility, and will allow the NFH90 to undergo acceptance trials by military personnel.
The delivered-NFH90 is in the so-called “meaningful operationally capable” production standard, It lacks the full operational features the NFH90 and it will be used for crew training and basic coastal surveillance operations.
The NFH90 is to be based at the De Kooy airfield in Den Helder.
France, the next country to receive NFH90s, in 2010.
