La US Navy pierde un E-2C/US Navy E-2C lost

La US Navy ha confirmado la pérdida de un E-2C del VAW 121 del portaaviones USS Dwight D Eisenhower (CVN 69), estrellado mientras operaba sobre el Norte del Mar Arábigo. Tres de los cuatro tripulantes han sido rescatados, el cuarto permanece desaparecido.
El E-2C volvía de una misión en apoyo de Enduring Freedom, cuando experimentó una serie de fallos mecánicos.

US Navy E-2C lost: key.Aero, Military AviationThe US Navy has confirmed that an E-2C Hawkeye operating with Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 121 from the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D Eisenhower (CVN 69) crashed while operating in the North Arabian Sea.
Three of the four crew members have been rescued but search and rescue efforts continue for the missing fourth person.
The E-2C was returning from conducting operations in support of Operation ‘Enduring Freedom’ when it experienced a mechanical malfunction and the crew performed a controlled bale out.
