Pakistán recibe dos P-3C Orion modenizados/Pakistan to get two P-3C Orion surveillance aircraft on Friday

Estados Unidos entrega hoy 30 de abril dos P-3C Orion modernizados a Pakistán, en Jacksonville, Florida. Pakistán está al mando actualmente de la Fuerza Combinada de Maniobra 150, en lucha contra el terrorismo, cuya área de responsabilidad cubre desde el estrecho de Ormuz hasta el Mar Rojo. Pakistán recibirá un total de 7 P-3 C Orion modernizados por Lockheed Martin.
Como aliado de Estados Unidos, Pakistán recibirá en breve la fragata USS McInerney a finales de año. El buque será renombrado como PNS Alamgir, y navergará hacia Pakistán a principios de 2011, tras su modernización.

The United States will hand over two upgraded P-3C Orion reconnaissance aircraft to Pakistan in Jacksonville, Florida.
Pakistan is currently commanding the Combined Task Force 150, against terrorism.
The area of responsibility of the CTF-150, stretches from Strait of Hormuz to Red Sea, covering 2.4 million sq miles and bordering 14 nations along the Gulf of Oman, Arabian Sea, Horn of Africa and Red Sea.
Pakistan is due to get in phases a total of 7 P-3 C Orion upgraded by Lockheed Martin.
As major non-NATO ally of the United States, Pakistan will also acquire USS McInerney frigate later this summer. The warship, to be known as PNS Alamgir, will be sailed to Pakistan early next year after its refurbishment.
