The largest ship ever built for the Australian navy has been officially named.
Hundreds of sailors and navy veterans gathered in the main dock of the vessel at Williamstown, in Melbourne, as it was officially named HMAS Canberra.
When it is fully built, the ship will hold up to 1,400 personnel as well as numerous helicopters and military vehicles.
