CAMBIOS EN ESCUADRONES HARRIER DE LA RAF/ RAF HARRIER SQUADRON CHANGES



Según KeyAero.com IV(AC) Squadron de la RAF será disuelto el 31 de marzo de 2010 en RAF Cottesmore, pero será inmmediatamente restaurado en RAF Wittering como la unidad de conversión operativ de la Joint Force Harrier. El escuradrón será nombrado como No.4 (Reserve) Squadron y sustituirá al No.20(R) Squadron, que será disuelto, aunque es posible que resucite como la nueva unidad de Chinook de la RAF en RAF Benson en el periodo 2012-13. El resto de unidades de Harrier en en RAF Cottesmore, (No.1(F) Squadron y la Naval Strike Wing), se desplazarán a Wittering a finales de marzo de 2011.

According KeyAero.com IV(AC) Squadron of the Royal Air Force will be disbanded on March 31, 2010 at RAF Cottesmore, but will immediately reform at RAF Wittering as the Operational Conversion Unit for Joint Force Harrier.
The squadron will be known as No.4 (Reserve) Squadron and will take the place of No.20(R) Squadron, whose numberplate will be retired, although possibly resurrected as the new Chinook unit at RAF Benson when the new-buy aircraft begin to appear in 2012-13. The remaining two units at RAF Cottesmore, No.1(F) Squadron and the Naval Strike Wing, are expected to relocate to RAF Wittering by the end of March 2011.
