British fury as Spain ups tension on Gibraltar with new lorry blockade

BRITAIN'S diplomatic war with Spain over the Rock of Gibraltar escalated today after border guards turned away truck loads of concrete thought to be destined for a crucial infrastructure project.
The Foreign Office issued a strongly worded statement demanding an explanation from Spain, saying the situation was "wholly unacceptable".
Express Online has discovered that lorries containing concrete were refused entry at the border yesterday.
It is understood the concrete was earmarked for the expansion of an artificial reef off the coast of Gibraltar, a project that has infuriated Spain.
