The Convent is aware of the unlawful incursion into BGTW by Spanish Navy vessel Mar Caribe on Friday 26 April, said a Covent spokesperson, adding: ‘The vessel was monitored throughout and warned by Royal Navy Gibraltar Squadron. The Convent immediately alerted London and Madrid on Friday and the appropriate next steps are being taken at diplomatic level.
