Elta Systems ha obtenido el contrato para el suministro de radares para los P-3C de la Fuerza Aére Portuguesa. Portugal está modernizando sus 5 P-3C Orion, por un contrato firmado con Lockheed en 2008. Bajo un nuevo contrato, la compañia israelí ELTA, entregará 5 radaresEL/M-2022 A(V)3 antes de fin de años. Los P-3C fueron entregados a Portugal entre 1981 y 1984.

Elta Systems has been awarded a $10 million contract by Lockheed Martin as part of an upgrade programme for the Portuguese air force's P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft. Portugal gave Lockheed a contract in 2008 to upgrade the mission system avionics on its five P-3Cs .
Under its new award, Elta will deliver five EL/M-2022 A(V)3 radars before the end of this year. Portugal's P-3C were delivered 1981 and 1984.
