It is possible to equip these fighter planes with advanced avionics and up-to-date weapons and protection equipment. As far as weapons are concerned, they will be of both air-to-air and air-to-surface classes.
The Belarusian head of state had earlier suggested modernizing Su-27, and the Defense Ministry made a decision pursuant to this suggestion.
In August 2013 Defense Minister told media that Su-27 had been withdrawn from service in Belarus. .”
