While last week’s US defense budget preview was dominated by news of what was being cut, one bright spot remains — the US Air Force’s long-range bomber program coming sooner than expected.
A final RFP and a competition probably is expected in fall.
There are two teamsworking on per-proposal types of activities, preparing to take the next step in competition on the long-range strike bomber.
The two competitors for the program are Northrop Grumman and a team of Lockheed Martin and Boeing.
