Emirates compra 32 Airbus A380 adicionales/Emirates Orders 32 Airbus A380
Emirates, basada en Dubai, ha realizado un pedido por 32 A380 adicionales, lo que eleva el total de pedidos a 90 unidades en su flota.
El contrato fue firmado el ocho de junio de 2010 por el jeque Ahmed Bin Saeed ,ejecutivo de Emirates y Tom Enders, Presidente de Airbus, presenciado por la canciller alemana Angela Merkel.
El primer A380 fué entregado en Julio de 2008, disponiendo actualmente de 10 A380, volando con ellos a ocho destinos: Londres Heathrow, Toronto, Paris, Jeddah, Bangkok, Seul, Sydney y Auckland.
Los vuelos a Pekín con el A380 empezarán el uno de agosto, a Manchester el 1 de Septiembre y a Nueva York el 1 de Octubre.

Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, placed an order with Airbus for an additional 32 A380 aircraft, taking the total firm order for the iconic flagship of the 21st century to 90 super-jumbos.
The agreement was signed today during a ceremony at the Berlin Air Show by His Highness (H.H.) Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group and Tom Enders, Airbus President and CEO, which was witnessed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and other dignitaries.
From the delivery of its first A380 in July 2008, to receiving it 10th A380 on 7th June 2010 from the Airbus plant in Hamburg, Emirates is now serving eight international destinations with the super-jumbo aircraft including London Heathrow, Toronto, Paris, Jeddah, Bangkok, Seoul, Sydney and Auckland.
The airline will start A380 services to Beijing from 1st August, Manchester from 1st September and will return service to New York’s John F. Kennedy (JFK) airport on 1st October.
