Nine leading British defense companies are collaborating with the government in a partnering scheme to prevent cyber attackers from stealing the industry’s secrets.
The Defence Cyber Protection Partnership (DCPP) has been working since May to bolster security in the defense supply chain here as concerns continue to grow about the activities and identities of cyber attackers.

U.S. and China Move Closer on North Korea, but Not on Cyberespionage
Even as they pledged to build “a new model” of relations, President Obama and President Xi Jinping of China ended two days of informal meetings here on Saturday moving closer on pressuring a nuclear North Korea and addressing climate change, but remaining sharply divided over cyberespionage and other issues that have divided the countries for years.

Chinese Hackers Have Gained Access To Dozens Of Major US Weapons Systems

Chinese hackers have gained access to designs of more than two dozen major U.S. weapons systems, a U.S. report said on Monday
Among the weapons listed in the report were the advanced Patriot missile system, the Navy's Aegis ballistic missile defense systems, the F/A-18 fighter jet, the V-22 Osprey, the Black Hawk helicopter and the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

Cyber-focused British command operational
A recently created joint British defense command focusing in part on improving cyberwarfare capabilities is fully operational, the British Ministry of Defense announced this week.
A ministry statement Tuesday said the Joint Forces Command, established last year in the wake of an independent report slamming the British military for its inter-service squabbling, had become fully staffed under its four-star commander.
