España compra un nuevo Canadair CL-415

Bombardier y el Ministerio español de Agricultura, Alimentación y Medioambiente han cerrado la compra de un nuevo Canadair CL-415 que se sumará a la flota operada por el Grupo 43 del Ejército del Aire.
Se trata del cuarto CL-415 adquirido por España (UD-14 para el Ejéricto del Aire), que con otros 14 CL-215T (UD-13 y UD-13T), son operados por el Grupo 43 con base en la de Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid). Además, otros cinco CL-215 también propiedad del ministerio son operados por CEGISA. Todos ellos componen la mayor flota mundial de aviones anfibios dedicados a la extinción de incendios.

Moroccan Air Force receives fifth Bombardier 415

The Royal Moroccan Air Force (RMAF) received its fifth and final Bombardier 415 firefighting aircraft from Canada earlier this month.
The aircraft was seen transiting the United Kingdom on August 31 from Iceland, on its way to Morocco, where it joined another four delivered over the last two years.
Morocco received a single Bombardier 415 in February 2011. Another four were ordered in March that year. Deliveries took place in May, 2011, February 2013 and May 2013.
The aircraft will operated in the fire-fighting role alongside the Gendarmerie Royale’s (State Police) fleet of firefighting aircraft, which include helicopters, ten Ayres S2R-T-34 Turbo Thrush crop sprayers and one Socata Rallye MS 893.
The RMAF also flies a Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules equipped with the Modular Airborne FireFighting System (MAFFS) in the firefighting role.

Morocco's third CL-415 Delivered

Morocco ordered three more CL-415 water-bombers in March 2011 following delivery of their first in February of the same year. The second aircraft was delivered quickly in May 2011 but the third seems to have suffered a lengthy delay. Having been painted and photographed at St. John's, Canada in June 2012, the aircraft only made it across the Atlantic this week. Routing via Goose Bay, Narsarsuaq and Keflavik, the high-visibility twin turboprop arrived at Manchester on 23rd February, prior to continuing South via Malaga to Morocco.
