Indonesia Interested In EMB-145i AEW&C Aircraft

An Indonesian military delegation to Aero India has expressed deep interest in acquiring the comparatively cost-effective Indo-Brazilian EMB-145i platform. Fresh interest has also been shown by Israel and Brazil.

Força Aérea Brazileira contracts Saab for additional Erieye AEW&C upgrades


Saab has been awarded a contract modification to modernise the Erieye airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) mission system, installed onboard the Brazilian Air Force's (FAB) E-99 surveillance aircraft fleet.
Covering enhancements to the Erieye radar's operative capacity, the SEK325m ($50.7m) contract follows a SEK380m ($59m) award secured by the company for Erieye updates in February 2013, as part of the Embraer 145 AEW&C aircraft modernisation programme.

Embraer flight-testing India's last AEW EMB-145


Embraer is flight-testing the last of three EMB-145 aircraft modified to be fitted with an airborne surveillance radar for India. Once the activity has been completed in Brazil, the aircraft will be delivered to the Indian Defence Research and Development Organisation's (DRDO) Centre for Airborne Systems to have an indigenous active electronically scanned array radar installed.

India receives its first EMB-145 AEW&C aircraft



India has received its first Embraer EMB-145 airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft.The first of three aircraft was delivered at Embraer's São Josė dos Campos headquarters, says the Brazilian airframer.

The aircraft has undergone ground and flight tests, meeting targets set by Embraer and the Centre for Airborne Systems unit of India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

Following the integration of DRDO mission systems, the aircraft will subsequently be handed over to the Indian air force. India ordered the three aircraft under a $208 million deal in 2008.

India desarrolla su primer radar aéreo de alerta temprana para montaje en un EMB-145/India’s AEW&C system for Embraer 145 is ready



India ha desarrollado su primer radar aerotransportado de alerta temprana y control (AEW&C) y será enviado a Brasil para ser integrado en un Embraer 145.
Este hecho supone un avance para la industria de India, y es posible que sea adquirido en los próximos años por la Fuerza Aérea India(IAF) y la Armada India(IN).

The development is a major milestone in India's quest for self-reliance in advanced radars and, based on the success of this system, both the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Indian Navy (IN) could acquire a number of them over the coming years
