Northrop Grumman to install LAIRCM on German A319CJ Head of State aircraft

Northrup Grumman has been given a $26 million contract to install Large Aircraft Infrared Counter-Measure system (LAIRCM) on two of Germany’s A319CJ Head of State aircraft.
Work will be performed at Rolling Meadows, Ill., and is expected to be completed by Mar. 31, 2016.

Sin mucha publicidad para evitar polémicas como la que envolvió la compra del anterior avión presidencial "Aerolula", se está negociando la compra de otro avión presidencial con más alcance que el A319 actual, Deberá poder reabastecer en vuelo a los cazas de la FAB.
Para transporte interior, la FAB, dispone de dos Embraer-190.

Primer A319 para la Luftwaffe/Luftwaffe’s first A319 delivered

La Fuerza Aérea Alemana, ha recibido el primero de dos A319CJ para transporte VIP .. Avión se unirá al Ala de Misiones Especiales y transportará pasajeros y será utilizado como avión de evacuación médica.

The German Air Force has received the first of a range of new VIP aircraft.The German Air Force (Luftwaffe) accepted its first of two Airbus A319CJ ‘Corporate Jet’ airliners into service on March 31 at Cologne. The aircraft will be attached to the Special Air Mission Wing and will be deployed to transport passengers and also used for medical evacuations (MedEvac) around the world.
