Armed EC-725 Undrgoes Flight Tests in Marignane

A specialized team of Helibras and Airbus Helicopters experts tested a prototype of the EC725 carrying anti-surface missiles installed on either side of the aircraft.
The Exocet AM39 missiles will equip eight of the 16 EC725 helicopters belonging to the Brazilian Navy, which are part of the contract for 50 EC725s signed with the Brazilian Ministry of Defense for the three Army corps.
More than 20 flights were performed in Marignane during a one month period, starting April 28.

Brazilian Navy signs Exocet missile contract

The Brazilian Navy has signed a contract with Brazilian Aerospace Avibras to develop a new version of the Exocet AM39 B2 air-to-surface missile produced by European missile house MBDA.
The weapon is to be used on the Eurocopter EC725 that is being produced for the Brazilian Navy by Helibrás in Sao Paulo.
The AM39 will have about 50% domestic content with a Brazilian motor.

Helibras presentó el nuevo helicóptero EC 130 T2, monoturbina de altas capacidades. Después de un tour de demostraciones en algunas capitales brasileñas, la empresa organizó un vuelo para que la prensa conociera la nueva máquina en São Paulo. Con un 70% de modificaciones en su cabina y estructura constitutiva, el nuevo EC130 T2 mantiene las líneas externas de los EC 130 anteriores, pero agrega más tecnología y confort.

El noveno helicóptero EC725 para Brasil inicia los vuelos de pruebas

La novena unidad de los 50 helicópteros EC725 encargados por las Fuerzas Armadas de Brasil ya está en fase de pruebas de vuelo en la fábrica de Helibras. Este es el primer EC725 que se recibirá en instalaciones desarrolladas por la industria de Brasil.
El EC725 número nueve estará destinado al Ejército de Brasil.
Marina, Ejército y Fuerza Aérea recibirán 16 ejemplares del EC725 y el Grupo de Transporte Especial (GTE), unidad de la FAB responsable por transporte presidencial y de autoridades del Gobierno, va a operar dos ejemplares especialmente configurados para la versión VIP.

Eurocopter's Brazilian subsidiary opens EC725 assembly line


Helibras, Eurocopter's Brazilian subsidiary, has officially inaugurated its Itajubá final assembly line for the production of EC725s destined for the Brazilian armed forces.

Brazil has 50 of the type on order, to be delivered to its army, navy and air force. Four aircraft have been delivered so far - one to each service and a fourth as a VIP government transport - with a further three to be handed over by the end of this year.

Brazil's EC725 introduction gathers pace


Brazil's armed forces are set to receive a further three Eurocopter EC725s in 2012, as assembly rates begin to increase at Helibras, the airframer's Brazilian subsidiary.

So far four of the 50 rotorcraft ordered have been delivered - one each to the air force, army and navy, with the other for use as a VIP transport. Three additional helicopters will be handed over this year, with each service again to receive a single unit.

BRASIL MODERNIZARÁ SUS HELICOPTEROS PANTHER/BRAZI TO UPGRADE PANTHERS



Según KeyAero.com, Helibras, filial brasileña de Eurocopter, va a modernizar 34 helicópteros AS365K Panther de la aviación del ejército de brasil. El contrato fue firmado el 24 de diciembre y alargará la vida útil del modelo por 25 años mas.
Los trabajos consistirán en la instalación de nuevos motoresTurbomeca Arriel, que supondrán un incremento de potencia del 15%; nueva radio digital y cockpit completo de pantallas líquidas. Se modernizarán 4 cada año, hasta 2021. Los Panther fueron comprados en 1988 y equipan el Escuadrón número 1 de la Aviación del Ejercito(1º BAvEx) en Taubaté,Sao Paulo.

According KeyAero.com, Helibras, Eurocopter’s Brazilian subsidiary, is to upgrade 34 AS365K Panther helicopters belonging to the Brazilian Army Aviation. Contract was signed on December 24 and will extend the life of the current fleet by at least 25 years.
It is the largest service contract signed by the Brazilian subsidiary in more than 30 years and will consist of the installation of new Turbomeca Arriel 2C2 CG engines with FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control), providing an increase of 15% in power; a new digital radio communication systems (Proline 21) and a full ‘Glass’ cockpit. Four aircraft will be upgraded each year through to 2021.
Brazil’s Panther fleet was purchased in 1988 and equips the 1st Army Aviation Squadron (1º BAvEx) at Taubaté near Sao Paulo.
