Spanish Shipbuilder Delivers Patrol, Landing Craft to Cameroon

Spanish shipbuilder Grup Aresa Internacional has delivered two patrol craft and a landing craft in a boost to the offshore capabilities of the Cameroon Navy.
Two 24-meter Aresa 2400 CPV Defender coastal patrol boats and a 23-meter Aresa 2300 landing craft were commissioned at the Douala naval base in late November.
Grup Aresa also is building two 32-meter patrol boats for the west African nation and expects to deliver those vessels in February. Cameroon operates 12 smaller boats built by the Spanish company.

Russia, Cameroon Ink Mi-17 Helicopter Deal

Russia is to deliver Mi-17 military transport helicopters to Cameroon.
The deal was signed by Russia’s state-run arms exporter Rosoboronexport, and Cameroon’s Defense ministry at the MAKS-2013 International Air Space Show.

Cameroon Air Force is newest operator of CN235

Airbus Military announced the Cameroon Air Force as a new operator of its aircraft with the delivery of a CN235 medium transport.
The handover makes Cameroon the sixteenth sub-Saharan nation to operate Airbus Military´s family of light and medium aircraft.
