El ministro de Defensa Neozelandés ha declarado que no cancelará el pedido de nueve helicópteros NH90 para la Fuerza Aérea, a pesar de las quejas efectuadas por Alemania sobre las pobres prestaciones de este helicóptero. Esta es la mayor compra realizada para las Fuerzas Armadas de Nueva Zelanda en 20 años y sustituirá a los desfasados UH-1H Iroquois en servicio.
Los nueve helicópteros están siendo construídos en Francia y se espera la entrega de algunas unidades para 2011.

Defence Minister of New Zealand says he won't be cancelling the Air Force helicopter order, despite a damning report from Germany.
It is the single largest purchase for the Kiwi Defence Force in almost 20 years, but a German Army trial has found engine, access and weight issues with the new NH-90 helicopters - the successor to outdated Iroquois.
The nine helicopters, are currently being constructed in France and are expected to be in New Zealand hands sometime next year.
