Los Tornado alemanes finalizan su misión en Afganistán/ Luftwaffe Tornado operations end in Afghanistan

La Luftwaffe ha confirmado el fin de las operaciones de sus aviones Tornado desde Mazar-e Sharif en Afganistán.
La retirada había sido anunciada el 22 de Septiembre. Los Tornado alemanes han estado apoyando ISAF desde Abril de 2007, en labores de reconocimiento. Los aviones pertenecían al ala de reconocimiento AG 51 con base en Schleswig-Jagel.

The German Air Force (Luftwaffe) has confirmed that its operations with reconnaissance Tornados at Mazar-e Sharif in Afghanistan have ended.
On September 22 Defence Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg said that the Operational Wing at Mazar-e Sharif would be withdrawn. In theatre since April 2007, the recce Tornados have been supporting International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) operations ever since. The current unit deployed, Reconnaissance Wing (AG) 51 from Schleswig-Jagel Air Base will return to Germany next week.
