España será el anfitrión de unas maniobras con helicópteros que durará tres semanas e involucrará a 34 helicopteros.
Las maniobras son parte del programa de entrenamiento en helicópteroes (HTP), y dará oportunidad a los paises europeros de afrontar condiciones climáticas que luego pueden encontrar en Afganistán.
Austria, Belgica, Repúbllca checa, Alemnanis, Italia, Eslovenia, Suecia, Reino Unido y España, son los países miembros del ejercicio,cuya base estará en Agoncillo, La Rioja. Se utilzarán 3 A-109s, tres AB 212, tres Mi24/Mi-17, seis AS-332, cinco Sea Kings, dos Lynx 657, cinco As-532, dos A-129, dos NH90s y dos EH 101s.

The exercise is part of the European Defence Agency's Helicopter Training Program (HTP), which aims to allow European helicopter crews to practice flying in a hot, high and dusty environment - conditions they will face in countries such as Afghanistan.

ReplyDeleteSupongo que el área de operaciones se situará en las no muy lejanas Bardenas Reales de Navarra y que como todos sabemos es el poligono de tiro del EA, ya que podría guardar algunas similitudes con el terreno semidesértico y Montañoso de Afganistan
