The Peruvian Navy (Marina de Guerra del Peru/MGP) has placed a EUR3.4 million (USD4.7 million) order with Rheinmetall for two MASS (Multi Ammunition Softkill System) decoy systems for installation in two Aguirre-class (Lupo) frigates.
The MGP is upgrading at least six of its eight Carvajal-class (modified Lupo) and Aguirre-class frigates, incorporating a considerable quantity of locally developed technology.
